Douglass Park on the western side of Bartlesville is one of the most spacious of the city's neighborhood parks with 5.5 acres.
Named after Frederick Douglass, it is serves as home for the Westside Community Center. The park itself has picnic shelters and barbecue grills for repasts after the games at its basketball court or its softball field. There is a playground with swings, slides, fun toys for the youngest children and ample room for parking. This park seems a part of the wide open spaces and always has a summer breeze. |

The Bartlesville school district owns the park ground and leases it to the city. As you can see, this park is well equipped for recreation and is kept in good condition by funding from Land and Water Conservation and the City of Bartlesville. |
