Hidden in the center of a neighborhood and accessible from the backyards of about 20 houses is a gem of a neighborhood park! Its 1.73 acres of great green spaces encourage the imagination and provide a practice area for softball, basketball and soccer. Slides and swings entice the young and a picnic table allows a private spot for lunch outdoors. A handy water fountain means children don't have to run home every time they get thirsty!

Land for William R. Smith park was purchased in 1964, and the improvements soon followed. Though there is no off street parking provided, the park does have two entrances, one from Wilshire the other from Elmhurst. |
